Overview

Our client is a global provider of advanced analytical instruments, serving sectors such as materials science, pharmaceuticals, and polymers. They are recognized for cutting-edge innovation in X-ray technologies and scientific research instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze emerging technologies in X-ray instrumentation, optics, and scattering, identifying opportunities for innovation
  • Develop and maintain an R&D roadmap aligned with strategic business goals
  • Lead product and process innovation, from concept through validation and industrialization
  • Design and optimize X-ray optics and core instrumentation components for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Coordinate with external research institutions and industry partners for technology transfer and co-development
  • Manage intellectual property, including patent strategy and portfolio development
  • Foster a culture of innovation through ideation, internal collaboration, and technical leadership

Candidate Profile

  • Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Physics, Materials Science, Optical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in X-ray instrumentation, especially in optics and scattering techniques
  • Strong background in optical design, X-ray sources, detectors, and system-level architecture
  • Experience leading R&D projects from ideation to validation
  • Familiarity with IP strategy and patent processes
  • Excellent team collaboration and cross-functional communication skills
  • Innovative, hands-on, and strategically minded
