M&E Manager - Data Center Projects

About the Role :

This position will play a critical role in the design and construction phases of data center projects. Reporting to the M&E Director, the M&E Manager ensures the seamless integration of electrical and HVAC systems, contributing to the competitiveness of our offers by optimizing design, leveraging the supply chain, and improving project delivery methods.

Projects Description : Data Centers of 15MW+ minimum

Responsibilities : Proposal Phase :

  • Provide technical support to the Project Director and business development team during negotiations.
  • Collect and analyze data required to prepare proposals.
  • Engage with clients to define needs, address technical requirements, and present proposals.
  • Coordinate with external organizations such as power suppliers and insurers.
  • Design and optimize technical and financial solutions to meet client needs.
  • Draft technical descriptions and establish cost estimates for proposals.
  • Ensure project consistency and resolve compatibility issues between M&E work packages and other trades.

Contract Phase :

  • Support the Project Director in defining technical details, modifications, and trade interfaces.
  • Identify and manage external design offices and service providers.
  • Draft tender documents, including technical plans and quantitative analyses.
  • Identify and select contractors based on project needs, performing technical and financial analyses of offers.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director to finalize contractor selection and draft technical contract documents.

    • Construction Phase :

  • Address technical queries from the project team and provide on-site support as needed.
  • Approve technical and financial changes during the construction phase.
  • Organize in-situ monitoring of M&E work packages and supervise external technical assistance as required.
  • Oversee utility handovers and supervise de-snagging operations when necessary.

    • Post-Handover :

  • Provide support in resolving technical issues within the scope of responsibility when requested.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing M&E systems for large-scale construction projects, preferably data centers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems, including design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in French and English.
