Position Overview

As Commis de Cuisine at Nikki Beach, you are at the heart of the kitchen team. This entry-level role is designed to build your culinary foundation while contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen. You will support senior chefs in food preparation, mise en place, and service execution, always upholding our standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency. This is a hands-on role with a clear path for growth within the culinary brigade.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation under the guidance of the Chef de Partie and senior chefs

• Carry out basic cooking tasks such as chopping, peeling, marinating, and portioning ingredients

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times

• Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating standards consistently

• Support mise en place preparation for service and special events

• Store and label ingredients correctly to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues immediately

• Participate in kitchen cleaning routines and deep cleaning rotations

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen brigade to ensure seamless service flow

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training (internship/apprenticeship experience welcomed)

• Passion for food, learning, and developing culinary skills

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure

• Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to support colleagues

• Understanding of hygiene, health, and safety regulations
