Are you an experienced Accounting professional looking for a unique opportunity to make a significant impact? Baxter Healthcare Corporation is seeking an EMEA Segment Accounting Manager to join our Regional Controlling organization in Pluvigner, France. As a critical member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, statutory, and tax requirements in countries in scope.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing and supporting US GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting and reporting for the entities in scope, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the reporting.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local rules and regulations, while supporting the strengthening of financial processes and controls.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, to ensure the successful execution of end-to-end finance processes.
  • Leading the resolution of complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Participating in local, regional, and global projects as required.
  • Being an advocate for the finance function and maintaining a focus on continuous process improvement.

What you will bring :

  • Very strong knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAPs and tax matters for the countries in scope.
  • Experience in JDE or a similar ERP, Cognos Blackline, and W-Desk is an advantage.
  • Strong communication abilities, tactful approach, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English, with another language being an advantage.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Master's degree in Finance / Accounting or part qualified / qualified ACCA / CIMA.
  • At least 10-15 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in a multinational environment and / or audit.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in Europe or internationally as required.
