The Site Manager is responsible for managing and leading the installation phase at our customer site. The Site Manager provides operational management oversight and ensures that our customers’ expectations are met. This person will manage and coordinate the daily activities in close cooperation with the Project Manager and Integration Manager, aiming to successfully complete the delivery of Swisslog in regards to project completeness at a high level of safety and quality. The position holder can be located in Italy (Maranello or Milano) or in France (Lyon).

  • You will be responsible for the site coordination and management, in close collaboration with several stakeholders, both internal and external. Managing risks and overcoming issues in different phases of installation.
  • You will provide detailed customer site planning and controlling regarding installation and commissioning.
  • You will be supporting site tests of basic functions as well as supporting sub-contractor acceptance tests together with the Project Manager and Integration Manager.
  • One of your key tasks will be to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with agreements with a strong focus on health and safety, and ensuring the quality standard from all personnel including subcontractors.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed

  • Technical degree in Mechanics / mechatronics or related field is considered meritorious.
  • Site management experience and / or commissioning experience of minimum a few years is required.
  • Knowledge and experience regarding Health and Safety regulations.
  • Experience in Project Management would be meritorious as well as technical know-how of manual and / or automated material handling systems.
  • Fluent language skills in Italian and / or French and working language skills in English, and an experienced user of MS office applications.
  • The successful candidate is result-oriented, sets challenging goals and produces high quality work and results under pressure. It is important to be able to manage risks, communicate openly, be able to delegate and take clear decisions. You enjoy working with people and establish effective work relationships across boundaries.
