What is Holis?
Holis is an entity of the Singulier Group, a consulting firm providing strategic and transformation support for private equity / investment funds and established companies.
Holis is an entrepreneurial initiative to build and drive data analytics expertise at Singulier. With our multiple data sources, we build a holistic view of target companies, their consumers and their market.
The goal is to help our clients make informed decisions based on our insights they wouldn't otherwise have access to easily.
We work with our strategy consultants or directly with our clients, and manage all our data processing, from data gathering to data visualization.
To support and accelerate our analyses, we are gradually building a platform that is automating the different data processes used to answer the needs of our clients.
Whenever we identify a recurring need, we build the corresponding piece of platform and processes so that everything progressively becomes more lean and efficient.
Ideally we want to fully automate an comprehensive set of analyses that answers all the questions around a given company's performance.
Being a engineer at Holis
At Holis, the role of the Engineering Team is to ensure that the Analytics team and all Singulier consultants have the data needed to conduct their analysis.
The aim is to build a data retrieval, enrichment and processing product, to automate the data production and deliver the analyses faster, and to prepare the outputs.
Overall our responsibilities are :
manage the connections to external data sources automate the cleaning, data preparation and data enrichment for internal data sources shared by clients
support our analysts in building the analyses for each business case work on data sciences project to add even more value to the data or even unlock new use cases
As part of a replacement, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build, manage and maintain the tech environment we built.
You will work directly with the rest of the team to help building the best product and ensure the production of analyses for private equity firms is fast and reliable.
Data maturity level
After having stabilized our methodology and analysis list, the first phase of the project is completed.
The engineering team started its transition from an ad-hoc operation to a production level factory. You will therefore work on the continuous upgrade of our infrastructure, helping to put in place new processes to automate the pipelines and support the scalability of the product.
Our clients are very demanding in terms of access to reliable and fast results. Our goal is then to enable our data analysts to deliver the right analysis as fast as possible.
Your missions
After an onboarding and coaching phase, your three main objectives will be :
- To optimize the performance along the pipeline to give the other teams the results as fast as possible (an analysis can come from various data sources of various size)
- To use the best technical stack and help building an infrastructure that will support the growth of Holis
- To guarantee an always operational data infrastructure for the users
You will arrive at a pivotal moment in the adventure, when Holis is growing and trying to stabilize its vision and product.

Requirements
You love building products along with other engineers and analysts
You have already worked on projects with important data pipelines and with strong performance and quality needs
You have at least 4 6 years of experience in Python Pandas) and / or Spark development.
You are curious, with an active technological watch and also like to discover new industries
You are looking for a startup experience with a dynamic environment and challenges
You have a sense of ownership and responsibility
