The Software development manager is accountable for managing the engineering team responsible for the development and serial follow up support of the Liebherr Fleet Management Systems. This includes defining and evaluating system architecture and technical specifications, developing project plans, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, managing project timelines and budgets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive innovation and ensure the successful implementation of Fleet Management systems for application to both human operated and autonomous systems.

Your missions :

Key Accountabilities :

Lead the FMS development and validation team in the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects —Manage and ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and Liebherr quality standards —Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and staffing levels to ensure optimal team performance and project delivery —Ensure software development process compliance with relevant standards —Facilitate effective communication within the development team and across department —International travels are required, particularly in Australia.

Your profile :

Qualifications / Experience :

  • Master of Computer Science with 10 years of relevant experience in development of complex software applications and distributed applications.
  • Experience in development in compliance with Cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443).
  • Minimum of 5years' experience as a Software Development Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 20%.

Desirable – Minimum of 2 years’ experience in intensive system architecture design projects. Specific development experience with fleet management and or autonomous haulage systems is highly desirable. Post Graduate level qualification in management and leadership, Strong working knowledge of agile development methodologies.

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaborations skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practice.
  • Project management expertise, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in C#.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Java Script, Rest API.
  • Knowledge in microservice architectures and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
