GE NERAL SUMMARY This exciting business-to-business marketing position is responsible for the marketing and business development efforts of several practices in the firm’s Paris office, through the management and execution of impactful marketing, business development, and communication projects Duties
CONTACTS The Marketing and Business Development Manager must be able to interact at all levels of the firm and be highly collaborative, working closely with partners as well as global marketing colleagues. As part of a Paris-based team, this role works closely with partners in multiple practices in France and the Paris Managing Partner. This role is supported by on-site department staff as well as the network of collaborative Marketing / BD and Communications colleagues in relation to PR, design, operations / marketing technology and events. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Plan and implement marketing and business development activities for Paris in support of revenue generation and profile.
- Lead the development of the Marketing Plan for Paris and regularly report on achievements versus goals.
- Develop and lead content oriented marketing programs through a multi-channel approach (thought leadership, surveys / studies, offline and online points of view, including social networks).
- Identify key clients for focused business development activities and issues around which business development and brand building campaigns will be deployed.
- Liaise with 20 partners, working closely with the local team to provide direction and support with execution.
- Support with revenue growth and business development, including targeting, market research and responding to RFPs and developing pitch proposals. Help partners to spot and respond to client opportunities using research.
- Work closely with the global PR team and French PR agency to spot and respond to suitable PR and communications opportunities.
- Write, edit and maintain effective, compelling, and consistent written marketing materials, including brochures, biographies, practice descriptions and experience lists.
- Lead the process and creation of legal directory submissions and ensure full contribution to league tables.
- Develop and implement signature events.
- Roll out best practices for marketing systems such as client data, BD tracking, and experience tracking. Ensure proper integration of these systems in the Paris office. Ensure sufficient data quality.
- Identify synergies with other offices and practice groups, to ensure that Paris partners collaborate where suitable with other partners globally to win work and raise profile.

Written and spoken fluency in English and French required. .University / business school degree required.At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.Intelligent and interested mind to grasp the commercial and related legal issues and opportunities.Experience working in similar partnership environments is ideal, such as accounting or law.Confidence to advise senior partners on what adds value and what does not and prioritization.Solid experience using Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with marketing through social networks (LinkedIn, Twitter) and digital technology.
