Sysco is the global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food products to restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments and many others. The group’s range of products also includes equipment and supplies for the foodservice and hospitality industries. With more than 71,000 employees, the company operates 333 distribution facilities worldwide and serves more than 700,000 customer locations.

Today, the company is launching a new strategic plan : the Partnership Growth Management. The PGM is the evolution of Sysco’s Category Management processes and represents a new approach to how Sysco partners with suppliers in all categories across their business.

In this context, the company is creating new roles that will allow Sysco to better manage its sales and margins. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for developing coordinated project plans that will deliver the execution of International Merchandising and Commercial initiatives which include better buying, better selling, and solving category assortment gap opportunities amongst other workflows.

You will report the Head of Projects and Insights.

The key responsibilities include :

Coordinating the strategic plan

  • Leading in planning, organising, and executing large scale business improvement projects.
  • Coordinating and executing / project managing multiple concurrently running complex projects across multiple stakeholders / departments / markets to drive margin benefit to Sysco.
  • Identifying resources, assigning work, and launching projects.

Reporting and facilitating the decision-making

  • Leading projects through from initial opportunity analysis to implementation and realization of benefits.
  • Managing the production and distribution of weekly performance reporting.
  • Collecting and presenting issues and risks to sr. leadership for awareness, decisions, and action.
  • Communication with stakeholders

  • Partnering with the International team and in-country resource to turn priorities and goals into strategies, structured plans, and roadmaps with actionable initiatives.
  • Directing the performance of project team members.
  • Collaborating with US based Project Management team on best practices for implementation across International Merchandising teams.
  • The core skills for this position are the following :

  • Fluent French
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience of multi-tasking to coordinate and lead multiple large-scale project workstreams
  • A strong analytical and strategic mindset to drive projects forward within agreed timescales
  • The role is key to the PGM and the initiative carried out by Sysco to improve its margins and relationship with its business partners. In this new position, you will work in a dynamic and international environment. You will be the cornerstone of the organization to monitor the evolution of the process. Regarding the great importance of the PGM Plan, the prospects of professional development are vast.
