About the Role
The Global Digital Strategy Director role is a digital leadership position responsible for driving digital strategy and transformation for top-tier global clients, it also includes thought leadership, innovation and digital operations.
The Global Digital Director should bring strong expertise in digital transformation and will lead the development and execution of innovative, data-driven digital campaigns across multiple channels (Paid Social, Programmatic, Paid Search, Retail Media, etc.) that deliver measurable business results. S / He will work with senior business partners, specialist digital teams, and external media and tech partners and be personally responsible for driving the digital roadmaps with our global clients, as well as overseeing the executional excellence of the digital campaigns.
The key aspect of the role is building trustful client relationships, bringing strong strategic thinking to inspire and lead transformational solutions, delivering digital executional guidelines to the markets and developing the digital knowledge and skills of team members.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship management and Consulting with agency knowledge
Lead and own the client's global digital strategic visionTranslate client challenges into effective campaigns that deliver results. Ensures exceptional client service for global clients, and key local clients as requiredDemonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the agency's digital product suite and service offerings. Leverage this knowledge to confidently advise clients on digital channels, products, and opportunities, and to develop solutions that meet client objectivesActively partner with clients, contribute to thought leadership pieces, different workstreams and training programs to maximize the contribution of digital to their growth objectivesDrive Clients' digital strategy
Lead the development of digital media strategies, plan rationale, presentations, optimisation and post campaign analysisAbility to analyse and interpret data, turning data into insights that will inform strategic media strategiesMobilise, challenge and collaborate seamlessly with internal specialist teams, network stakeholders as well as external partnersResponsible for exceptional digital campaign executionManage key digital workstreams, incl :Global digital leadership - develop global frameworks including, oversee their execution and draft executional guidelines for local marketsStrategic partnerships - own the day-to-day relationships with partners and publishers to drive the roadmaps.Measurement - design the ideal measurement and KPIs framework to meet the client' objective and ensure adherenceLearning agenda - drive a test / learn / socialise & scale approach to encourage innovation and scaling of best practices across the different business lines and marketsNetwork and team management
Share digital knowledge across the broader teamPrepare operational guidelines and support local teams to ensure the work delivered to the clients is of highest standardsPeople management : direct and functional management (5 to 10 people)Core skills and abilities
Extensive digital marketing / media experience (across all channels), preferably with both global and local experienceThorough understanding of the whole digital planning, implementation and trading process, and across all digital touchpointsStrong knowledge of the data and technology landscape, incl. ad-serving, ad-verification, 3rd party brand study tools, DSP, etc.Attention measurement and carbon-conscious digital ecosystem expertise are a plusExcellent multitasking and project management skills, capable of running large scale projects involving multiple stakeholders and marketsTeam player and ability to lead and inspire teamsGravitas and confidence to influence and sell ideas to clients at senior levelDiplomatic, capacity to challenge the status quo and curious about media / marketing industry, technology and peopleThrives under pressure and excels in meeting strict deadlinesFull English proficiency - excellent written and presentation skillsMasters or related degree. At least 12 years' experience in digital marketing with strong technical background (agency experience preferable)Measure of Success
