Yourmissions :

The Biogenovac platform at CEVA Santé Animale is dedicated to leveraging genomic technologies to develop innovative therapeutic solutions, particularly in the fields of immunology, vaccination, and inflammation modulation. In this context, We are seeking a Cell Biology Scientist to join our team and lead the setup and operation of the cell culture laboratory within the platform with a specific focus for companion animals (dogs and cats).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Set up and manage the cell culture laboratory, including equipment installation, workflow organization, and compliance with biosafety and quality standards.
  • Develop and characterize species-specific cellular models (canine and feline) aligned with therapeutic project needs.
  • Perform cell transfection experiments with different nucleic acids to study gene and protein expression.
  • Evaluate genomic constructs in vitro to assess theirb functionality and protein expression in relevant cellular models.
  • Use techniques such as Western blot, ELISA, immunofluorescence, to quantify and validate protein expression.
  • Implement functional assays to assess pro-inflammatory responses, including cytokine quantification and reporter systems (, luciferase, GFP, SEAP).
  • Collaborate closely with genomics and bioinformatics teams within the platform. Collaborate in transverse with projects team in charge of biotech projects.
  • Contribute to experimental design, protocol development, data analysis, and technical reporting.

Your profile :

  • Master’s degree (MSc) in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Proven professional experience (beyond internships) in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or academic setting involving cell biology.
  • Strong hands-on experience in cell culture, transfection, and protein expression analysis.
  • Experience in evaluating genomic constructs and their biological activity is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of immunology, inflammation, or applied genomics is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage lab operations, and proactively solve technical challenges.
  • A strong asset (optional) :  expertise in nucleic acid delivery systems such as lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), polymers, or non-viral carriers.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, GraphPad Prism, etc.).
  • Scientific English (reading and writing) required.
