As part of our growth, we are looking for a  Business Developer  to drive the commercial development of the  IFS (International Functional Services) Business Unit . This Business Unit offers the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies the opportunity to outsource key scientific functions in the clinical development of their products (Data Management, Statistics & Programming, Clinical Monitoring, Medical Writing, Pharmacovigilance & Safety, Medical Monitoring, etc.).

What will your responsibilities be?

Working alongside the Sales Director, you will contribute to defining the commercial strategy and will be responsible for its execution. You will initiate prospecting actions and identify client needs to build innovative proposals. With the support of scientific and methodological experts from across the group (Europe, India, and the USA), you will lead responses to large-scale international RFPs. You will also collaborate closely with our operational managers to ensure client satisfaction — a key factor in your continued commercial success.

Your main responsibilities will include :

  • Define the commercial strategy for your scope with the support of the Sales Director
  • Build strategic international partnerships (preferred supplier listings, lobbying, etc.)
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client and prospect organizations
  • Coordinate responses to international RFPs by delivering innovative, tailor-made proposals
  • Participate in bid defenses and lead pricing and contract negotiations
  • Act as the commercial partner to our platform managers to :
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Proactively suggest continuous improvement initiatives
  • Guarantee profitability for the platforms you are responsible for
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to promote our services and expertise
  • Interact with sales teams from other Business Lines (Resourcing and Full Service) to create synergies across accounts
  • Ensure rigorous reporting of your commercial activity in our CRM

Requirements

Your profile :

Education : Master’s degree from a business or engineering school.

Experience : At least 3 years in a similar role within an IT consulting firm (ESN), CRO, or consulting company, ideally with knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.

Languages : Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Skills : Excellent organizational abilities, entrepreneurial mindset with a dual  “hunter”  and  “farmer”  sales profile. Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
