Site Reliability Engineer - Trading Platform

Our client, a leading quantitative investment firm is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join their growing team. This role is key to evolving and scaling a high-performance trading platform that demands speed, resilience, and automation at every level.

About the Role :

In this role you will develop and maintain automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and incident response, applying industry best practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to improve system reliability. You will design and document robust, scalable systems with a strong focus on performance and fault tolerance whilst managing the full observability stack. You will lead incident management processes and work cross-functionally with software engineers, quantitative researchers, and platform teams to continuously enhance the infrastructure..

What they're looking for :

• Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, production engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Strong Python programming skills for automation and infrastructure tooling.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux / Unix systems, distributed architectures, and monitoring frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
• Experience building scalable, high-availability systems in production environments.
• Exposure to low-latency trading systems, financial market data, or exchange protocols.
