BWS is looking for an experienced Contract Engineer to join our team!
The service holder is responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities (tendering / contracting phase) of contracts that could be necessary during the Life of Project and activities related to the management of Feed contracts up to the close out. ACTIVITIES
- Support Project Management for Contract NTOKON Project activities.
- Stay informed about Company Rules, Specifications, and procedures related to Contract and Procurement.
- Implement and verify procedures associated with Contract activities.
- Organize, direct, supervise, and support contract engineers.
- Coordinate the tendering / contracting process, including pre-qualification if necessary.
- Manage Contract Management during the Execution of the FEED Contract.
- Participate in the settlement of disputes with legal, insurance, and finance specialists.
- Coordinate / participate in the approval process of contract amendments.
- Apply or ensure the application of the Due Diligence procedure.
- Supervise the close-out of Contracts.
- Define and implement a reporting process for Contract Management activities.
- Report to the Project Control Manager, highlighting progress and areas of concern.
- Gather 'lessons learnt' and provide feedback to other TOTAL E&P entities.
- Act as Project Control Manager in their absence.
Requirements
An engineering degree or an equivalent qualification is required - 10–20 years of relevant industry experience.Strong understanding of contract development and management in an international context .Membership in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS UK or Nigeria) or a similar supply chain organization is preferred but not mandatory .Proficiency in SAP / R3 and e-sourcing tools is an advantage .English – Mandatory
