We are looking for a Senior C++ Low-Latency Developer.
Fully remote, 12-month contract convertible to full-time. Pipeline is currently empty — no progressed-candidate signal exists yet, so this brief is domain-derived rather than a mirror of previously liked profiles.
A senior, hands-on C++ engineer (~6+ years) who writes the low-latency hot path for automated/electronic trading. Modern C++ — C++17 minimum, C++20 preferred. Ideally direct market-data experience (feed handlers, ticker plant, FIX, order book).
Location: United Kingdom (remote) · Netherlands (remote) · France (remote)
Employment Contract: 12 months, convertible to full-time by mutual agreement
Seniority: Mid-Senior Level (~6+ years)
Core stack: C++ (C++17 min, C++20 preferred), Low Latency, Market Data, HFT
Visa: No sponsorship discussed — candidate must already hold right to work in UK/NL/FR.
Required
Senior C++ specialist with genuine low-latency experience (C++20 ideal, C++17 minimum)
Background in traditional trading firms, hedge funds, or investment banks
Based in UK (primary), Netherlands, or France — not Poland (market proven too thin/rejected on country and bar, never on rate)
Comfortable with fully remote work; open to a 12-month contract structure (converts to full-time after 12 months by mutual agreement)
Lean Toward
Direct market-data / feed-handler / electronic-trading experience
Tick-to-trade, lock-free, kernel-bypass (Solarflare/Onload, DPDK), NUMA / cache-aware design
FIX, exchange connectivity, order-book / ticker-plant, smart-order-router
Employer pedigree at a prop shop, market-maker, HFT, IB e-trading desk, or systematic hedge fund
