We employ up to 80 staff each season which gives Alpine Elements a unique advantage in offering the chance to work summer or winter and, if visa restrictions allow, back-to-back seasonal opportunities. With a variety of positions available, we are the perfect company to choose whether you are looking for a career progression or a one-off seasonal experience.
We are fully compliant with all immigration laws, therefore we welcome all nationalities to apply that have an EU passport, a right to work in France in the form of a CDS, or are from a country where you can obtain a visa that doesn't require a work permit. The majority of our guests are from the UK, therefore it is compulsory that all applicants are fluent in English to be considered for a position.

Position
Due to staff drop outs, we are seeking friendly, proactive, and highly organised hosts to join our standby list for the upcoming summer season. This could lead to a last-minute opportunity for someone who is ready to jump straight in and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced alpine environment.
As an Alpine Elements Host, you'll play a key part in creating a welcoming, enjoyable experience for our guests. Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:
- Servicing guest bedrooms and communal areas
- Preparing and/or serving meals (breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening service)
- Providing warm, attentive customer service
- Supporting hygiene standards and stock control
- Helping ensure smooth daily operations in chalets or hotels
Whether you're cooking in a chalet setting or assisting with meal service in a hotel, you'll bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for good hospitality and the mountains.
We operate in Morzine and Tignes.
Eligibility Requirements
For these immediate standby positions, we can only consider applicants who:
- Hold an EU passport, or are already have the unrestricted right to work in France without a work permit
- UK passport holders cannot be considered for these specific last-minute roles unless they already hold permanent French residency (not a seasonal CDS P) or equivalent rights.

Minimum requirement

- Experience problem solving customer issues.
- Chalet hosts only: Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2 certification completed before the season- links to online courses can be requested.
Salary and Package benefits
- 35 working hours a week, which include split shifts with great work life balance.
- Full training and development available with great career progression opportunities.
- Salary is competitive, uniform is provided, and staff meals are included within the working shifts.
- Accommodation can be provided as an optional extra if needed.
Operational dates may vary by resort and property; however, they generally fall between mid-June and mid-September.
