Role overview :
As a 0D / 1D Modeling Intern at HyPrSpace, you will support the development of our hybrid propulsion technologies and associated fluid systems (LOx, pressurization, cryogenic circuits). You will contribute to the development, improvement, and validation of physical models used for the design and analysis of hybrid combustion chambers and complete fluid systems.
Your key responsibilities :
As part of your internship and in direct connection with your academic training, you will be involved in the following missions :
0D / 1D Model Development :
Build and improve models for :
Implement custom physical laws (hybrid regression models, conduction / radiation, pressure losses, etc.)
Hybrid combustion chambers (regression laws, heat transfer, mass / energy balance)
Fluid systems (GN2 / He, LOx, feed circuits, injectors)
Heat exchangers, valves, lines, calibrated orifices, blow-down systems
Simulation & Analysis :
Run simulation campaigns and perform post-processing
Identify model improvements and contribute to numerical stability
Compare results with experimental data from engine tests
Documentation & Industrialization :
Write technical notes on models and results
Structure the models for reusability and team integration
Develop complementary Python tools (post-processing with CoolProp, automated scripts, etc.)

Who we are looking for :
Currently pursuing a 3rd year engineering degree or 2nd year Master’s in Thermal Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Space Propulsion, or Numerical Modeling.
Experience with 0D / 1D modeling tools (e.g., ESPSS / EcosimPro, Simscape, AMESim…).
Programming experience in Python (NumPy, SciPy, CoolProp).
Knowledge of thermodynamics and compressible flow.
Knowledge of hybrid propulsion is a strong plus.
Tools / Software skills : ESPSS, Python (NumPy, SciPy, CoolProp).
Soft skills : rigor, curiosity, autonomy, and a strong interest in simulation and complex physical systems.
