Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant France supports the French entities in all accounting and

reporting activities in accordance with French GAAP and US GAAP. The role actively

assists the CFO, who retains overall responsibility, by providing hands-on support in

period-end closings, SG&A expense analysis, reporting requests from US

headquarters and finance-related projects at both local and European level.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Closing & Statutory Accounting Support

 Support the preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings for

the French entities under French GAAP and US GAAP

 Assist in ensuring compliance with local statutory, tax and regulatory

requirements

 Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations and documentation for statutory

and group reporting

 Act as a key operational contact for accounting topics, supporting the CFO in

day-to-day activities

SG&A Expense Analysis

 Prepare analyses and commentaries on SG&A expenses versus budget,

forecast and prior year

 Support variance analysis and cost transparency for cost center owners

 Assist in identifying cost trends and efficiency improvement opportunities

Reporting & US Headquarters Support

 Prepare reporting packages, analyses and ad-hoc information requested by

US headquarters

 Support consistency and alignment between local reporting, group reporting

and US GAAP requirements

 Assist in responding to follow-up questions from group finance and auditors

Projects & Process Support

 Support finance-related projects (e.g. process improvements, system

enhancements, harmonization initiatives)

 Contribute to the documentation and improvement of accounting processes

and internal controls

 Support internal and external audit activities under the guidance of the CFO

Qualifications & Skills

 University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a

comparable qualification

 Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting, preferably in

an international environment

 Solid knowledge of French GAAP and good understanding of US GAAP

 Strong analytical skills, particularly in SG&A expense and variance analysis

 Experience with ERP systems and very good MS Excel skills

 Fluent French and English (spoken and written)

 Hands-on, structured and detail-oriented working style

 Strong team and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with

senior stakeholders
