Punch Powertrain is a multinational, headquartered in Sint-Truiden, with a strong presence in Europe and China. As an independent automotive supplier we develop and manufacture a complete portfolio of powertrain solutions for the passenger car segment (conventional, hybrid and full electric). The Clermont-Ferrand site, which is on a human scale, is dedicated to research, development and the creation of innovative industrial solutions in power electronics.

At Punch Powertrain, the range of technical solutions is wide : Hybridization/Electrification of powertrains for the cars of tomorrow, Formula 1, Formula E, advanced Research and Technology.

Our facilities (less than 3 years old with an extension already planned) are in the immediate proximity (less than 5' from the main means of communication : Train track/Airport/Highway). Our validation laboratory was designed by the engineers themselves. This is not the only tool you will find to implement your ideas: a pilot assembly line equipped with the same means as the largest production centers will be at your disposal.

Experienced Power Electronics Design Engineer

Positions / Missions:

Attached to our power electronics R&D entity, you will be responsible for the definition and design of the products with the different trades based on the specifications. As such, you will be required to:

• Participate in the technical specification of the product.
• Coordinate the design with the trades.
• Participate / support electronic design work within your team.
• Check this design through various technical reviews and test campaigns.
• Validate the performance of the product.

Profile:

Electronic engineer, you have a successful experience in the design / justification of electronic functions (ideally in the automotive field).

Autonomous and rigorous, you will be a major player in capitalization work, from design documentation to validation.

You have a background in Safety (ISO26262) as well as a good understanding of the system level of an electronic and hybrid vehicle.

You know how to analyze system requirements and are able to derive them into technical, verifiable, and measurable requirements.

Your background allows you to value the differences of perspectives and you know how to take advantage of them in order to develop innovative solutions.

You have a good level in English, allowing you to hold a conversation with our clients, to clarify their needs and present your work.

Your personal qualities: person of action, rigorous, very good interpersonal skills, ability to adapt.

You like to work in an innovative and interactive technical environment.
