Role : Clinical Pharmacology Lead
Location : Hybrid - must be able to commit to 2x days per week in Antwerp
The Role
We are seeking a highly Senior Clinical Pharmacology Lead to play a key, senior role in advancing a growing portfolio of innovative small-molecule therapies. This is a hands-on position with significant scientific ownership, where you will lead clinical pharmacology strategy from early translational development through proof of concept and beyond. You will act as a core individual contributor while progressively taking on broader leadership responsibilities as the pipeline and organization expand.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Clinical Pharmacology lead for assigned clinical programs
- Develop and execute integrated clinical pharmacology plans aligned with overall clinical development strategy
- Design and support clinical pharmacology and PK / PD study protocols
- Perform and / or oversee population PK / PD, PBPK, and other quantitative analyses
- Apply model-informed drug development to support dose selection and compound progression
- Integrate nonclinical, translational, biomarker, and clinical data into coherent modelling strategies
- Interpret emerging PK / PD and biomarker data to inform development decisions
- Contribute to regulatory documents including INDs, IBs, protocols, and briefing packages
- Support regulatory interactions by providing data-driven dose and development justifications
- Collaborate closely with research, toxicology, clinical operations, biometrics, regulatory, and medical teams
- Manage and scientifically oversee CROs and external consultants
- Help build and mentor future clinical pharmacology team members as the function grows
Requirements
PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent degree in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field10+ years of experience in clinical pharmacology within biotech or pharmaceutical developmentStrong expertise in PK / PD, population modelling, PBPK, dose optimization, and quantitative pharmacologyHands-on experience supporting small-molecule drug development programs, including novel therapeutic approachesAbility to operate effectively as both an individual contributor and an emerging people leaderStrong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-stage biotech environmentFluency in English; additional languages are a plus
