Web Developer - Intern

We are looking for a Web Developer Intern to support our commercial advisory team on a long term engagement with a national telecommunications provider. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from any quiet, professional setting while collaborating with our partners. Your work will involve building and maintaining the digital tools and internal portals that help our clients visualize complex investment structures and market data. Unlike standard development roles in a tech firm, this position requires a developer who is interested in how their code supports real world business outcomes and high stakes partnership decisions.

What you will do

• Build and maintain secure internal project portals for our engagement with a national telecommunications provider, ensuring data is organized and accessible.
• Collaborate with senior advisors to design and implement interactive data dashboards that reflect ground reality rather than theoretical projections.
• Update and optimize front end components for client presentations, turning complex financial models into clear web based visualizations.
• Support the technical side of client communications by managing secure file sharing environments and collaborative workspaces for sovereign entities and family groups.
• Write clean, documented, and maintainable code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support our evidence based advisory approach.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across various web platforms to ensure senior partners have reliable access to decision support materials during negotiations.
• Assist in automating manual data entry processes by developing scripts that connect our research databases to web interfaces.
• Provide technical input during internal briefings to help the team understand the feasibility of different digital presentation formats.

What you bring

• Foundational knowledge of front end development, including experience with modern HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript through academic or personal projects.
• Strong commercial curiosity and an interest in how a business operates, specifically regarding investments and joint ventures.
• The ability to explain technical concepts to non technical team members and partners without using unnecessary jargon.
• Excellent attention to detail: you notice consistent spacing, font issues, and minor bugs before the client does.
• A disciplined approach to remote work, with the ability to manage your own tasks and meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Familiarity with version control software like Git to manage code changes and collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
• Comfort working in an environment where your work is measured by its utility to the client rather than just technical complexity.
• Basic understanding of database structures and how to pull data into a front end interface via simple APIs.
