Junior Automation Specialist

We are looking for a Junior Automation Specialist to support our advisory team as a major French industrial group expands its operations into new territories. This role is built to help our senior partners and researchers manage the flow of information that informs high stakes commercial decisions. You will work to build and maintain the internal systems that track counterparty behavior and market shifts, ensuring our advisors have the most accurate view of ground reality when they sit down to negotiate. As a fully remote position, you will collaborate with a distributed team of specialists focused on practical outcomes rather than theoretical reports.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain simple automation scripts to collect and organize data from public registers and market news sources.
• Support research associates by building internal tools that simplify the tracking of counterparty movements and regulatory changes.
• Monitor data pipelines to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the information used in client briefings and decision-support models.
• Assist in the migration and structuring of historical deal data to help partners identify patterns in previous investment cycles.
• Identify manual research tasks that can be automated to give the team more time for qualitative analysis and commercial judgment.
• Document technical workflows to ensure that the logic behind our data collection is transparent and reliable for all team members.
• Collaborate with the senior team to adjust internal reporting tools as the needs of the French industrial group's expansion evolve.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues within our internal software stack to maintain a high standard of operational readiness.

What you bring

• A foundational understanding of scripting languages like Python or JavaScript, with a focus on practical problem solving.
