Job overview
As part of our road to becoming a net zero company, we are looking for a Life Cycle Assessment R&D Engineer (permanent position) to join the LCA/EPD team based in the Holcim Innovation Center in Saint Quentin Fallavier, Isere, France. You will join a world class team that works at the forefront of Holcim’s data automation activities and provides end-to-end EPD services to all Holcim countries and corporate teams using state of the art software.This is an ideal position for a person that has a strong sense of curiosity and ambition to make a difference.
Main activities / responsibilities
Provide expert advice and help implement country and corporate sustainability initiatives
Support implementation of rollout of environmental product declarations (EPD) across all product segments and countries using on demand EPD generators
Support transition from EPDs to digital product passports (DPP)
Support digitisation initiatives related to EPD and DPP implementation
Support implementation of regulatory and news watch
Provide internal training on life cycle assessment and EPDs
Experience
2+ years of practical experience on LCA or EPDs
Experience with scripting (e.g., Python or similar) and familiarity with AI tools and workflows will be beneficial
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking
Good organizational skills and high attention to detail
Fluency in english
Knowledge of the cement and concrete industry will be beneficial but not essential.
Education / Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or environmental science
Language Requirements
Native or bilingual level of English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Any additional language is a plus
