services.
Location :
The position will be based in Europe, with flexibility to work from TCL's offices in Paris, Milan, Prague, or other locations, depending on the candidate's situation and role requirements.
Job Description :
- Europe Market insights : Analyze European market dynamics, social trends, and consumer behaviors-research competitors, trade, and retail landscapes to identify opportunities. Develop actionable monthly reports to guide HQ Design, R&D, and Product Planning teams.
- Opportunity Identification & Co-creation : Translate insights into strategic follow-up plans and co-creation workshops. Collaborate with local market stakeholders and HQ teams to uncover innovative solutions.
- Storytelling & Strategic Presentation : Create visually engaging and concise presentations to articulate the business value of design insights. Present insights and strategies to the C-suite to drive decisions and key customers for business success.
- Local Go-To-Market(GTM) & MarCom Support : Support design innovation for GTM initiatives, including lFA, Milan Design Week, and product launches. Ensure supplier-partner executions align with the design vision through quality control processes.
- Design Partnerships : Identify opportunities for innovative design collaborations focusing on CMF (Color, Material, Finish), lifestyle trends, and European consumer values. Manage and enhance relationships with existing TCL design and innovation partners in Europe.
Technical Skills :
Experience : 5+ years in design roles, preferably for commercially launched smartphones or consumer electronics. Background in industrial Design or Design Research with proven product design outcomes.Design Thinking : Clear understanding of design thinking principles and research methods, with the ability to adapt and innovate as needed.Design Aesthetics : Strong visual storytelling and presentation capabilities, with attention to detail and creativity.Analytical Insight : Quickly adapt to diverse topics, translating findings into actionable strategies that enhance consumer value.Software Proficiency : Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, with expertise in creating compelling presentations using Apple Keynote.Soft Skills :
Language : Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; Chinese proficiency is a bonus but not required.Communication : Exceptional verbal and written skills for engaging diverse audiences, including executive leadership.Storytelling : Ability to distill complex data into impactful narratives to influence decision-making.Collaboration : Proven ability to work with regional and HQ stakeholders, ensuring alignment and actionable feedback.Interpersonal Skills : Comfortable working with key leaders and executives in Europe and China; experience with Asian companies or overseas HQs is a plus.Adaptability : Comfortable with ambiguity and able to respond effectively to changing directives.Project Management : Skilled in managing cross-functional projects with internal and external partners from inception to execution.
