Pharmaceutical development requires robust analytical strategies to support drug substance and drug product development from early clinical phases through registration and lifecycle management. Analytical development plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and long-term product quality across increasingly complex development programs.

Analytical development teams are embedded within CMC project organizations and work closely with formulation, quality, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and external partners to deliver high-quality analytical data supporting clinical and regulatory milestones.

This position is within the Analytical Development department to maintain and strengthen senior expertise. The role sits within one of three analytical development laboratories, each led by a dedicated manager, and operates in close interaction with shared pools of analytical scientists and technicians across projects.

The position does not include direct hierarchical management, but involves strong functional leadership within CMC project teams.

As a Senior Analytical Development Scientist, you will play a central role in pharmaceutical development projects, acting either as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or as an Analytical Leader, depending on project needs and development stage.

Your responsibilities may include :

• Leading analytical development activities for drug substance and drug product projects
• Defining and executing analytical development strategies aligned with development phase requirements
• Writing and managing analytical protocols, reports, and development plans
• Acting as the analytical representative within CMC project teams
• Ensuring completeness and quality of analytical contributions to IND / IMPD dossiers and Module 3
• Coordinating and reviewing analytical activities performed internally and by external laboratories
• Providing scientific oversight and accountability for analytical data across projects

Projects may span early development (Phase 1–2), with method development, stability and compatibility studies built from limited data, as well as late-stage projects (Phase 3) acquired externally, requiring audit, gap analysis, and consolidation of existing analytical work.
