About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Country Delivery Lead (Chief of Staff) to join the business, a role at the crossroads between strategy, execution, and consulting.

The Country Delivery Lead (Chief of Staff)’s mission is to support the company on a day-to-day basis to achieve a targeted, profitable, and sustainable growth by supporting critical country business projects.

The role manages :

• Project framing and monitoring for most part of France project portfolio
• Organization efficiency / transformation
• Communication enhancement
• Support to Regional Managing Director France in strategic decision making

The position will have direct contacts with all layers of the organization : Country, Region, Division and even Group.

Responsibilities include (but not limited) :

Project framing and monitoring :

• Oversee business initiatives from strategy to successful execution under the guidance of France management team and departmental heads (Turnarounds, M&A, industrial footprint, strat. plan, etc.)
• Monitor France project portfolio and communicate status to France management team.
• Manage projects (especially very critical or confidential ones)

Organization efficiency and productivity :

Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity (Capex mgmt., HR plan)

Communication enhancement :

• Be the right interface to Group and Division to anticipate demand and support France organization in fulfilling them
• Communicate with management team on program / initiative implementation and assist in decision making
• Create visibility and overpass roadblocks in project implementation, facilitating exchange across functional and business units to address and solve issues

Leadership & Support to France General Manager

• Support the General manager France on its day-to-day priorities and strategic decision making
• As a member of the country senior management, participate and contribute to the overall business development of the country embedding the DS Smith business vision, culture and values in the organization
• Role model and champion the DS Smith leadership competencies in project management and act as a change role model continuously striving to improve leadership and people management to deliver durable performance

About you

Education & Certifications :

Education at Master’s level or equivalent preferably with business and / or technical background

Job specific requirements :

• Proactive, strategic and analytical mind set, result-oriented, accountable, with strong problem-solving skills
• Very strong business understanding and acumen
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Strong leadership skills
• Comprehensive and highly advanced project / program management skills
• Fluent in English

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in a top tier consulting firm or chief of staff position
• Proven ability to deal with stakeholders on senior management level and towards customers
• Experience from transformation projects demonstrated results from independently driving and implementing organizational transformations
