Transdev recruits a Heavy Mode Maintenance Director
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Heavy Mode MaintenanceDirector to join our Safety, Operations, and Technical Department. This strategic role offers a unique opportunity to oversee and drive maintenance services across Light Rail, Regional Rail, and Metro modes, ensuring excellence in operations and technical performance.
As the Heavy Mode Maintenance Director, you will be entrusted with the following key missions:
Technical Assistance and Knowledge Management
- Ensure a technical support and expertise to the Countries (fleet, infrastructure, performance approach, business models, strategy…) and facilitate the relations between countries,
- Implement maintenance audits, when required
- Identify the maintenance rail skills and expertise within the Group and deploy the best practices,
- Capitalize the maintenance rail know-how as a continuous improvement for the benefit of the existing Operations and to reinforce the bid quality.
Support for tenders:
During the bid process, evaluate and challenge the operational assumptions of the stream leaders to secure and optimize the proposal (Maintenance organization, maintenance costing, maintenance solutions (in-house vs subcontract).
Community
Create and manage the Group Maintenance Community involving the Heavy Mode (Light Rail / Regional & Commuter Rail / Metro) countries in phase of operations and development.
Rolling Stock and Systems Rail Suppliers
Maintain relationship with the major rail industry players.
Qualifications
Master's degree (Level +4/5 or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in operational management positions and/or HQs in rail mode.
Strong project management skills, with an ability to analyze and synthesize complex information.
Interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on leadership, active listening, and the ability to drive change.
A strong appetite for challenges, particularly in optimizing performance and developing new business models.
Rigorous, available, and pedagogical, with a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
Languages: Fluent in both French and English (German is a plus)..
Additional information
Frequent international travel is required.
