Director of Product Management– Chromatography

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Product Management & Marketing to lead the development and growth of a high-value product portfolio within the life sciences and analytical instrumentation space (chromatography, mass spectrometry).

This is a critical leadership role combining team management, product lifecycle ownership, commercial alignment, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative and differentiated solutions for clients in pharmaceutical, environmental, chemical, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for the product portfolio
  • Develop and refine product value propositions based on customer insights and market trends
  • Work closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to strengthen market engagement and adoption
  • Ensure differentiation and alignment with business priorities, profitability goals, and market demands

Portfolio and Financial Management

  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) initiatives and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Oversee product lifecycle and optimize portfolio performance
  • Monitor revenue, margin, and ROI performance; report to senior leadership
  • Align product decisions with corporate financial strategy and operational capabilities
  • Team and Cross-functional Leadership

  • Manage a team of Product Managers and Technical Services professionals
  • Partner with Sales, R&D, Operations, and Global Marketing to support commercial success
  • Drive marketing strategy execution locally while collaborating with US-based global marketing leadership
  • Ensure consistent messaging, effective tools, and cross-team alignment
  • Market Intelligence and Business Strategy

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Prioritize strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with revenue and cost objectives
  • Define pricing strategies and commercial policies in collaboration with leadership
  • Maintain strong engagement with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in product management or marketing roles within analytical instruments, in particular chromatography & mass spectrometry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver commercial results
  • Deep understanding of chromatography and spectroscopy markets and technologies
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing revenue targets, pricing, and profitability
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a strong asset
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, mostly within Europe
