Director of Product Management– Chromatography
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Product Management & Marketing to lead the development and growth of a high-value product portfolio within the life sciences and analytical instrumentation space (chromatography, mass spectrometry).
This is a critical leadership role combining team management, product lifecycle ownership, commercial alignment, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative and differentiated solutions for clients in pharmaceutical, environmental, chemical, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Leadership
- Define the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for the product portfolio
- Develop and refine product value propositions based on customer insights and market trends
- Work closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to strengthen market engagement and adoption
- Ensure differentiation and alignment with business priorities, profitability goals, and market demands
Portfolio and Financial Management
Lead new product introduction (NPI) initiatives and ensure on-time, on-budget deliveryOversee product lifecycle and optimize portfolio performanceMonitor revenue, margin, and ROI performance; report to senior leadershipAlign product decisions with corporate financial strategy and operational capabilitiesTeam and Cross-functional Leadership
Manage a team of Product Managers and Technical Services professionalsPartner with Sales, R&D, Operations, and Global Marketing to support commercial successDrive marketing strategy execution locally while collaborating with US-based global marketing leadershipEnsure consistent messaging, effective tools, and cross-team alignmentMarket Intelligence and Business Strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunitiesPrioritize strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with revenue and cost objectivesDefine pricing strategies and commercial policies in collaboration with leadershipMaintain strong engagement with internal stakeholders and customersRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferredAt least 10 years of experience in product management or marketing roles within analytical instruments, in particular chromatography & mass spectrometryDemonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver commercial resultsDeep understanding of chromatography and spectroscopy markets and technologiesStrong financial acumen, with experience managing revenue targets, pricing, and profitabilityFluent in English; proficiency in French is a strong assetAbility to travel up to 25%, mostly within EuropeWhy Join
