Job Description
Our client, a global quantitative and systematic investment firm is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Data Platform & Analytics team. This group is responsible for delivering a high-availability, enterprise-scale data platform used to analyze investment strategy performance across regions.
The role offers the opportunity to work at the core of a modern data ecosystem, partnering closely with engineers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Employment Type : Full-time permanent
Location : Paris, France (onsite)
Eligibility : EU citizens or candidates with existing EU work authorization only (no visa sponsorship)
Language : Ability to communicate in French is strongly preferred for local stakeholder collaboration
Compensation : EUR $120-280K base + bonus
What You'll Do :
- Design, build, support, and optimize data pipelines and automation frameworks supporting multiple strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a Snowflake subject-matter expert, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and governance across environments.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to guarantee reliable data delivery and strong data governance practices.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of a modern data platform, including automation, monitoring, and best-practice adoption.
- Operate effectively in a high-expectation, collaborative environment where quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement are core values.
Requirements
What You'll Bring :
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and / or Database Administration roles.Deep hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including database design, performance tuning, RBAC, and data sharing.Strong Python skills for automation, data pipelines, and Snowflake integration (e.g., connectors, Snowpark).Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large analytical datasets.Solid understanding of data modeling, medallion architectures, and CI / CD workflows.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS (S3, IAM, PrivateLink).Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow and dbt.Experience supporting multi-region data environments, including Europe and APAC.Analytical, detail-oriented problem solver with strong ownership mentality.Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.At Talencore, we stand against racism and discriminatory practices.
