As a Software Engineer within our Data Platform & Analytics team, you will be instrumental in delivering a high-availability, enterprise-scale data platform. This ecosystem is the backbone for analyzing investment strategy performance across global regions, requiring a blend of precision, scalability, and high performance.
You will work at the core of a modern data environment, partnering with elite engineers and analysts to build secure, reliable, and scalable data pipelines. This is an environment that values quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize data pipelines and automation frameworks that support mission-critical strategic initiatives.
- Act as the subject-matter expert for Snowflake, overseeing database design, performance tuning, RBAC, and data governance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Dev, Analytics) to ensure seamless and reliable data delivery.
- Drive the continuous improvement of our data platform through automation, advanced monitoring, and the adoption of industry best practices.
- Support multi-region data environments (Europe and APAC) in a high-expectation, collaborative setting.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Database Administration.Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake (Performance tuning, Snowpark, Data Sharing, etc.).Strong proficiency in Python for automation and integration.Advanced SQL skills and experience with large-scale analytical datasets.Solid understanding of data modeling, Medallion architectures, and CI / CD workflows.Analytical problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership and clear communication skills.Fluency in English is required.Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS (S3, IAM, PrivateLink).Experience with orchestration and transformation tools like Airflow and dbt.Important Information regarding Location & Eligibility
This role is strictly on-site . You must be based in (or willing to relocate to) either Zurich or Paris.Please note that no work visa sponsorship is provided for this position.
