We are working with a leading mid market PE fund who are seeking a Chief of Staff / Transformation Director with a background in top-tier strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) to define and execute on a value creation plan.
The ideal candidate will of worked in industry after working for consultancy in a Private Equity backed portfolio company.
This role is central to shaping and executing enterprise-wide transformation, while also supporting organic growth strategies. The COS / Transformation Director will partner closely with the C-suite and investors to deliver measurable value creation and ensure sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of the VCP.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable programs with clear financial and operational outcomes.
- Build and manage a Transformation Office (PMO) to track initiatives, report progress, and drive accountability.
- Partner with the CEO, CFO, and PE sponsors on strategy development, change management and stakeholder alignment.
- Drive operational excellence, including cost efficiency, revenue acceleration, and organisational redesign.
- Apply rigorous problem-solving and structured communication to align management, investors, and teams.
- Coach leaders and teams to embrace new ways of working and embed a performance-driven culture.
- Identify risks, resolve roadblocks, and ensure initiatives deliver within scope, budget, and timeline.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience working in industry after consultancy in a PE backed Portfolio CompanyEx-MBB (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) consultant with a track record in strategy, operations, and transformation.Fluency in French will be highly beneficialSignificant leadership experience in private equity–backed environments, with direct exposure to investor value-creation plans.Experience in supporting creating Value Creation plans for PE portfolio companies10+ years of professional experience, including leading cross-functional transformation programs.Strong financial acumen with the ability to link initiatives directly to EBITDA and enterprise value.Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, including board and investor engagement.
