R&D Pilot Engineer - W - M H/F

As a R&D Pilot engineer, you will work in a transversal team operating at the interface between the R&D laboratories and Oleons factories.

You will BE responsible to study and execute the scale up of the processes and chemistries developed in our labs to pilot scale and subsequently assist for further industrialization.

You will do this for all the markets Oleon is serving (eg Lubricants, Health & Beauty, Food / Feed, etc) Since you will BE working in a transversal team, you are comfortable to interact with different services (process, maintenance, HSE, R&D teams) in an international setting.

You will participate multiple meetings with the R&D & Operational teams in charge of the projects. You will BE responsible to develop pilot protocols and the production of batches within specifications in order to demonstrate the industrial feasibility & scalability of the developed process.

You will keep your knowledge up-to-date by studying scientific and technical literature and by following trainings in the field of the projects being scaled up.

You will actively and proactively contribute to safety in the workplace, which you will define as a top priority.You will contribute to continuous improvement projects of processes and equipment used.

You will report to the R&D Pilot team lead.Graduate in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering. Experience in industrial chemistry, Process chemistry and / or Oleochemistry is a plus.

You have a great interest in pilot and industrial processes, testing and optimizing in R&D environment.Working autonomous, you have the ability to quickly understand and solve technical and operational issues.

You have an analytical mind and you work with precision.You have the ability to work in a deadline driven environment and are able to manage projects simultaneously.

You are an open-minded team-player, you know how to foster a positive and stimulating team environment in order to contribute to the team's development.You are fluent in English.
