Senior Software developer – Tech Lead single risk – Python/Java Specialist

The Tech & Data department ( 200 employees across the globe) provides products, services, and support to all SCOR Group worldwide.

Its 2 key challenges today are to successfully implement its new Target Operating Model (TOM), to be supported by an ambitious pluri-annual internalization plan to deliver innovative products and services to its clients.

The Tech & Data organization is an Agile matricial organization relying on 4 pillars :

• Data and System Engineering , made of the following teams : Data Center of Excellence, Products and Systems Engineering and Enterprise Architecture
• Management & Control (M&C) & Corporate Systems , made of teams supporting Crews and Transversal Functional Domains : Governance, T&D Operating Model Implementation, Security & Compliance, Financial Control, Sourcing & Vendor Management, Governance, and Processes
• Technical , made of teams dedicated to IT Operations, Network, Cloud, Workplace & Cloud Productivity Services
• Crews and Transversal Functional Domains

Crews are supported by Chapters (System Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, ) and both Technical and M&C-C teams are fully dedicated to the delivery of SCOR products, services and support.

SCOR is managing many projects in the specialty insurance domain and would like to emboard a senior software developer who can lead / participate in the build of different systems, mainly on the ambitious single risk underwriting platform program.

Besides, he should act as technical leader to bring added value and ensure scor quality standards. The software developer should be a real partner to business, both as a technical advisory and business challenger.

In collaboration with the solution owner you will :

• Collect, understand and challenge business needs for projects and the run.
• Build sustainable architecture.
• Be proactive by proposing enhancements, best practices to the solution owner / product owner.
• Build quality software, test driven, meeting scor standards
• Participate in upskilling IT colleagues and enhance their technical understanding and capabilities.

In collaboration with our software providers :

• Realize studies and analysis to choose the right technology and platforms
• Challenge proposed architecture based on business requirements understanding
• Present architecture to SCOR IT architecture committee
• Control that SCOR implementation standards have been correctly implemented

In relation with SCOR Technical architecture and Production Team :

• Present project architecture across architecture review
• Present technical architecture requirements and prepare environment requirements
• Collaborate with IT production for CI / CD, Deployments, hardware provisioning and stability of the system
• At least 5 years of software developments on modern technology (Python, Java, Angular, ideally React and correlate technology)
• Good knowledge of cloud environments , preferably Microsoft Azure
• Good practive of microservice architecture, data modelling, test driven development and APIs
• Familiar with DevOps tools, preferably Jenkins and source control with Git
• Experience with MS SQL Server database
• Used to work in a cross cultural environment
• Excellent level in English
