Freelance Data Platform Manager (Snowflake) - 9 Months + extensions
Job : Data Platform Manager (Snowflake)
Client Location : Paris, France
Hybrid structure : 3 days per week onsite with 2 days remote.
Contract Length : 9 months + possibility for extensions
Role & Responsibilities :

In the context of a significant Data Transformation initiative encompassing all aspects of our data capabilities, including Data Architecture and Engineering, Data Modelling, Storage for Data & Analytics, Data Visualization, Data Science, Data Integration, Metadata Management, Data Storage, and Warehousing, the Data Platform Manager will oversee the management activities of the future Data Foundation platform.
Key responsibilities include :
- Technical End-to-End Accountability : Oversee all aspects of the data platform, ensuring its seamless operation and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide Input and Decision Making : Offer insights on reusable components, make decisions based on cost estimates and technical feasibility, and provide architecture guidelines aligned with the data & analytics strategy.
- Alignment with Strategy : Ensure that platform capabilities and functionalities align with the overall data & analytics strategy of the organization.
- Prioritization and Delivery : Prioritize user stories and tasks, ensuring timely delivery of all project deliverables.
Experience :
- 5 to 10 years of experience in relevant roles.
- Experience in implementing Data Platforms in a cloud environment.
Skills :
- Fluent in French & English ( mandatory ).
- Technical end-to-end accountability for data platform management.
- Strong decision-making skills based on cost estimates and technical feasibility.
- Proficiency in providing architecture guidelines aligned with data & analytics strategy.
- Ability to ensure platform capabilities are in line with organizational goals.
- Familiarity with Scrum Methodology and Jira.
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and collaboration skills.
- Effective stakeholder and risk management.
- Demonstrated drive and leadership abilities.
- Open-mindedness and willingness to accept challenges.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and flexible, with a willingness to integrate into existing environments and project teams.
