Senior Systems Administrator
Job Description :
Remote Work - France-based resource
Position : Senior Systems Administrator
Experience :
- Proven experience : Typically, senior sysadmins have 3-5 years of work experience in system administration.
- Familiarity with UNIX, Storage, and VMWare
- Knowledge of patching tools for server environments
- Understanding of Data Protection and Storage
- Operating systems : Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Redhat Linux / Oracle).
- Network protocols : Understanding of network protocols.
- Hardware components : Familiarity with hardware components.
- Virtualization technologies : Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMWare / ESX).
- Cloud environments : Knowledge of cloud platforms.
- Containerization : Understanding of containerization technologies.
Requirements :
- Must be an EC (Eligible Citizen) or resident of the country
- Bachelor's degree : A degree in Computer Science or a related field is beneficial.
- Minimum 3 years of Data Center Support Experience
- Supervisory skills : Since senior admins often lead teams, demonstrating the ability to provide guidance to junior specialists is essential.
- Problem-solving skills : Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication skills : Effective communication with team members and users.
- Project management : Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Certifications (Any of the following) :
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- VMWare Certified Professional (VCP
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE : Server Infrastructure)
