Chemical Manager - Li-ion Battery Engineering

Piper Maddox are partnered up with a high-tech battery business, currently expanding their European territories. They are gearing up for a massive production capacity exceeding 100GWh by 2030 that's millions of EV batteries annually!
Their next key hire is a Chemical Engineering Team Manager to join their innovation department.
In this role you will manage a team of 25-30, consisting of chemistry seniors, engineers and technicians. Your main mission will be to drive the company's chemistry activities for their EV cells, whilst managing all internal and external stakeholders and running OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the team.
Your background :
Phd in Chemistry / Electrochemistry / Material Science.
You MUST have 5+ years of industry experience in a similar role, working at a battery cell manufacturer or automotive company.
INCLUDING 2+ years of Team Leadership / Managerial experience
Proficient in Lithium-ion battery electrochemistry, manufacturing processes and strong understanding of technological locks and limits.
International experience in R&D and / or Production for Li-ion batteries, spanning regions such as China, Japan, Korea, Germany, and the USA.
