OUR CLIENT
This is in an exciting senior opportunity to join a renowned international business. Our client markets and sells raw materials to a variety of industries in France, to name a few;
plastics, paint, coatings, rubber, lubricants and polyurethane processors.
Our client’s subsidiary in France generates approximately €40 million in revenue and employs 22 professionals. These professionals are mostly based in Sales, Sales Administration and Marketing positions.
This subsidiary has grown as a result of acquisitions, and currently has two locations in France, one West of Paris and one based North of Paris.
THE ROLE
In this role you will have ten direct reports : eight in Sales Administration, one in Sales Support, and one in SCM & Office Management.
This role is crucial, not only for effective sales administration management, but also for fostering cohesion among local teams, creating ties within the local entity and between the two French locations, as well as strengthening connections with international teams and the headquarters which is based in Germany.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational responsibility for administrative management tasks in France.
- Efficient employee management, organizational development, Change Management, continuous process improvement in France.
- Responsibility for running the business in order to guarantee economic stability and development.
- Operational and Strategic management in accordance with strategic guidelines of the group.
- Close cooperation with shareholders and Global Business Unit Directors / Business Group.
- Operational responsibility for : Accounting, budgets, annual financial statements, payroll, recruitment and management of employees, IT, Legal & regulatory, quality management (e.
g. audits) logistics, Office Management.
- Leadership : Direct disciplinary and legal responsibility in France incl. guidance, training and development, cultural integration of employees, Team-Building and Change Management.
- Functional responsibility for the local back office teams (Sales administration, Sales Support.)
- Support and align with the strategies of the global business units.
- Responsibility for planning, implementation and achievement of agreed targets.
SKILLS
The ideal candidate for our client would be a dynamic self-starter with exceptional organizational and communication skills, capable of taking initiative, identifying potential areas for improvement, and collaborating on transversal projects implicating functionally and geographically diverse teams.
This professional needs to be a great people leader, committed to excellence in execution, he / she should excel in managing by influence and inspiring others to contribute effectively.
The candidate should have a proficient command of both French and English, other languages that would be a plus are German and Italian, but this is not a requirement.
The ideal candidate would come from a Business Administration or International Management background with a proven track record of successful change management in a matrix organization.
