Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled Store Construction Project Manager to join our client's Store Construction team based in Paris.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with store design and development teams, as well as manage external suppliers. This full-time, permanent position offers the chance to play a pivotal role in our client's expansion across France, involving travel as required by project demands.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule requirements, from initial feasibility assessments to store handover.
- Coordinate and oversee store openings at multiple locations.
- Monitor and control project budgets, addressing any variations and providing regular updates to the management team.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to establish project budgets and schedules, defining scope of work and handover conditions.
- Facilitate compliance with local codes and permits, working closely with the design team.
- Lead the selection and oversight of general contractors and suppliers through comprehensive bidding processes.
- Source and procure design elements and materials, carefully balancing cost, installation, and durability factors.
- Conduct site visits to address any issues, collaborating effectively with local architects.
- Perform post-project analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements.
- Develop and present CAPEX budget proposals for new stores and enhancements to existing ones.
- Ensure prompt approval and payment of invoices in coordination with the Accounting department.
Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in store construction roles within retail, hospitality, or Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sectors.
- Proficiency with flagship and standard store specifications, including a track record of successful store rollout initiatives.
- Capacity to excel in diverse, multicultural settings.
- Fluent communication skills in business English, both written and verbal.
Skills :
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Collaborative team player with the capability to also work autonomously.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting tight deadlines.
- Solution-oriented approach coupled with adept problem-solving skills.
