Relocation services Manager 1 1
Accountability :
This position is responsible for the coordination of all cross
functional teams to support all relocation activities throughout the
entire lifecycle of each project; from estimation, execution (cost
and schedule control) to final acceptance and ultimately until the
warranty ends. This position is the single point of contact for our
used machinery dealer network, the customer, internal resources and
external resources including all contracted services.
Scope and Responsibilities :
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following :
Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all
employees.
Work with the Sales Team to identify and quote desirable
equipment / plant relocation projects.
Supports the Bid & Proposal team with estimating and quoting
relocation and installation projects.
o Conduct and develop a detailed scope of each project
identifying needs such as route surveys, permits, support
services, and site requirements.
o Assure that projects undertaken are profitable and within the
capabilities of the organization.
Reviews all order and contractual documentation with the appropriate
resources (internal and external) to ensure that requirements are
clearly understood and achievable.
Ensure outside resources (riggers, trucking, etc.) are properly
licensed and insured; review / confirm safety ratings.
Inspect the work site(s) to monitor progress and ensure conformance
with the overall scope of the project.
Coordinates and documents the condition of the equipment at the time
ff disassembly. This documented assessment is to be reviewed with the
customer and any additional scope quoted.
Coordinates all required tooling shipments to and from the removal
and installation sites.
- Aligns all cross functional teams involved in the project.
- Provides a single line of communication between the customer and
Fives MSI.
Provides a single line of communication between contractors and Fives
o The communication will be ongoing and recurring in conformance
with the company guidelines.
Leads project team to complete machine projects on-time and within
budget
Actively identify risks and opportunities within a project and
implements counter measures and mitigation activities to ensure
success.
Controls the budgets and tracks project costs against estimate within
the Estimation Worksheet throughout the project life cycle.
o Provides management updates on project assessment, direction,
bottlenecks and risks on an ongoing basis to include cost and
delivery mitigation plans.
Develops and maintains a schedule and reporting system to reflect the
progress of the project and provides reports internally and to
customers.
Tracks all delivery dates per the master schedule for internal and
external teams.
Oversees all coordination of subcontracted services along with our
internal resources throughout the installation process at the
customer site.
Verify all invoices are sent and payments made by customer in
accordance with the predetermined milestone payment plans.
Schedule and facilitate a post-mortem on all projects in accordance
with the company post-mortem (lessons learned) agenda. Document and
report out findings and corrective actions to be disseminated to all
cross functional teams.
Proposes process improvement opportunities in support of increasing
operational performance.
Experience :
3-5 years of similar or related experience in a fast paced advanced
manufacturing environment.
Experience, knowledge and understanding of CNC machine tools is a
must.
Skills :
- Working knowledge of SAP and Salesforce
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

- Ability to travel both domestic and internationally approximately 20%
