Drug Discovery Outsourcing Manager

The Role : Drug Discovery Outsourcing (CRO) Manager

You'll play a pivotal role in our research initiatives, spearheading collaborations and ensuring seamless partnerships with external CROs.

Responsibilities :

Operational Management with External Partners (60% of the role) :

• Manage ongoing research initiatives and coordinate with external labs
• Provide technical guidance on assay selection, project setup, and monitor compound usage
• Coordinate research activities, review experimental data, and facilitate communication
• Assist project leaders with research needs, order compounds as needed, and evaluate external lab capabilities
• Establish and maintain relationships with research partners, conduct regular reviews, and manage financial aspects

Scientific Support for Research Projects (20% of the role) :

• Evaluate new research targets : therapeutic relevance, required assays, competitive analysis
• Contribute to research data presentations

Extended activities :

• Assist with research funding efforts
• Provide technical insights to the tech team and stay updated with industry trends including attending relevant conferences

Requirements :

• PhD in a related field (biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences)
• 2-4 years of project management experience in research, ideally within a research organization, biotech, or pharmaceutical setting
• Practical experience within early drug discovery
• Ability to interpret and analyze biological experiments and results
• Experience in managing external partnerships, negotiation skills
