Summary / Role Purpose

Ansys is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to be part of a rapidly growing team that’s responsible for design, development, build and delivery of technology components that are consumed in different Ansys products.

You will be working closely with Development and QA engineers, to deploy and manage GitHub, ADO pipelines, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Performs all DevOps activities, including the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and verification of product builds and packaging to provide quality production builds

Understands and employs best practices

Works closely with development to adjust builds and packaging to changing product requirements

Anticipates future needs and technology evolution and proposes and participates in implementation of new solutions

Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts

Design, build and maintain CI / CD pipelines in multiple environments and CSP

Minimum Education / Certification Requirements and Experience

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience, or PhD with 1 year experience in an Infrastructure / DevOps Engineering role

Experience with CI / CD pipelines end-to-end, from code commits to production

Experience with Azure DevOps (and Yaml)

Experience with Conan, NuGet, wheel packages

Proficient in multiple scripting languages (, Python, PowerShell, Bash)

Source / version control (Git)

Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows & Linux based environments

Self-driven desire to continuously learn new technologies and skills, and solve tough problems

Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles and the ability to apply them

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Experience with Container technologies such as Docker

Experience with secure development, coding, engineering practices

Experience with Ansible, Terraform, etc.

Experience with using monitoring and log analytics tools and creating dashboards

Experience with C++ / .NET / JavaScript

Familiar with Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes
