ROLE OVERVIEW : We are searching for a senior Sales Manager to lead the country sales teams in France for all steel, plastic and closures products.

You will need to be based within a reasonable proximity to our Rouen facility, but be able to travel (50%) to customer sites.

ROLE DETAILS : Reporting to Greif’s Regional Sales Director, we are looking for someone who understands the industrial markets of our customers, such as chemicals, pharma, plastics, or lubricants, to drive the strategy and performance of the sales team.

Key to success will be to optimize our pricing position, demonstrate an understanding of value selling, and be an effective communicator to a range of audiences.

  • Oversees the success of sales for both existing and new customers.
  • Meets with customers to develop and maintain long-term relationships and promote sales.
  • Develops pricing and associated strategies to meet customer needs and set the direction to prioritize sales efforts.
  • Develops and achieves sales budget and incentive goals.
  • Builds and champions relationships with operations to ensure cross department collaboration.
  • Provides management with sales analytics related to budget, sales achievements, and market penetration.
  • Communicates goals and objectives to the sales team.

Builds a team spirit to ensure positive colleague relations. REQUIREMENTS :

  • Able to demonstrate significant sales experience within markets relating to chemicals, pharma, plastics, lubricants or similar.
  • Able to demonstrate team leadership capability by being responsible for team performance and creating vision.
  • An effective communicator who is able to translate strategy into operational activities.
  • Able to demonstrate agility in adapting to business changes.
