Senior Backend Developer [Western Europe]

We use TypeScript and build scalable systems so we can continuously make progress on a solid foundation. We don’t expect you to have a background in everything we use, but we do expect strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience in building scalable infrastructure and backend solutions.

• Backend : NodeJs, Postgres, Redis, and Rockset. Deployed on AWS.
• Frontend : NextJs, deployed on Vercel
• Monitored on Datadog
• Built-in a monorepo powered by Turborepo
• Tools : GitHub, Slack, Notion, Linear

Tasks

• Build the backend for various user-facing features
• Improve database and infrastructure performance
• Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting for our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents
• Scale our service via architectural changes as well as infrastructure improvements
• Improve the DX to multiply the team productivity

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience and 3+ years of experience in NodeJs and SQL databases.
• Experience with building scalable and reliable systems
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Located in Western Europe.
