Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Our client, a leading French company in the digital communication industry, is rapidly expanding internationally. As part of its transformation from an SME into an ambitious European group, the company aims to become the leader in digital communication across Europe by 2026, targeting a revenue of 100 million euros.

Since 2019, they have grown by acquiring competitors in various European countries including Germany, Italy, and Poland.

With numerous acquisitions, the challenge now is to integrate diverse teams, company cultures, technologies, and workflows.

Our client is in a critical phase of homogenizing and structuring these varied organizations to establish a unified and coherent European leader in digital communication.

Role Overview :

As the Group CTO, you will be a key member of the Executive Committee (COMEX) and will drive the harmonization and structuring of the technological landscape of the company.

Your primary mission will be transitioning from a siloed approach to a unified, efficient, and profitable operation.

Job Description :

• Leadership : Define and execute a technology strategy that aligns with the company’s ambitious growth plans and transformation into a leading European digital communication group.
• Management : Oversee a technical team of approximately 100 employees spread across multiple European locations (France, Germany, Italy, Poland), promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Oversight : Manage technical leaders across these countries, aligning their skills and talents with strategic company objectives.
• Integration : Lead the technological merger of the company’s brands into distinct entities, ensuring seamless support for this transition.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other Executive Committee members to ensure the full integration of technology into all aspects of the company and to stay ahead of market trends.

Desired Profile :

• experience as a CTO within an international environment, ideally within the digital communication or MarTech sector.
• engineering degree is strongly preferred, with a deep understanding of current technologies and market trends.
• leadership and communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly at the executive level.
• proven track record of leading change and rallying teams around a shared vision.
• with a strong focus on crafting and implementing strategic plans, managing resources, and achieving budget goals.

Job Details :

• Type : Permanent
• Lille, France (relocation to Lille is required as the role necessitates a significant presence to influence team dynamics and executive decisions).
• to : Managing Director, based in Lille.
• Management : Responsible for approximately 100 staff across Europe, involving both direct and indirect management.
• Competitive base salary with a company performance-based bonus of 10% to 15% of annual salary. Additional benefits include meal vouchers, private car parking, and discounted private health care for your family among others.
