IT Support Engineer
About the role
The IT Support Engineer is needed to assist with but not limited to maintenance and configuration of our internal infrastrucutre such computer systems, servers and network infrastructure.
You will install hardware and software and continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of our organization.
You will need to actively resolve problems and issues with computer, network and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company locally and globally.
Business continuity approach at all times. Working with the wider team to unify and simplify solutions for all regions, embrace IT modernization through tools to boost employee productivity.
You will report to the IT Manager from regional perspective and to the Global Digital Workplace Manager when assisting global users or tasks
As a IT Support Engineer, you will :
Drive the change from individual services to unified and simplified solutions to all regions, converting to modern workplace environment.
Support modern technologies remotely for all offices locally and globally.
Continuously assess and improve the services we offer to our business units in line with their regional requirements and our global scale.
Support the day-to-day operation of all technology or telecommunication devices (hardware, software, server, network, internet, and phone) across our IT Service Management (asset, incident, problem, and change management)
Operation, maintenance, and expansion of the network infrastructure (Layer 2 - Layer 7) principally on Fortinet System
Write and evaluate technology related projects, proposals, and reports as required
Continuously evaluate current configurations and improve where needed.
Ensuring accurate and timely resolution of incidents and requests in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Act as the escalation for team members.
Actively promote excellent customer service for all front-line service delivery, constantly seeking ways to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
About you
The IT Support Engineer :
Degree in relevant IT field or have equivalent professional experience.
Certification in Server +, MCSE is beneficial.
Three to five years of relevant work experience.
You have very good knowledge in the areas of Windows and Macintosh clients.
Windows server roles (AD DS, AD FS, DNS and DHCP) as well as networked workstations (LAN, WAN, WLAN).
Ability to manage a multi-domain environment.
Experience in network design for multi-office environment.
Your knowledge firewalls and switches (Fortinet) is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Ability to document process.
You have experience in wireless networks and troubleshooting wireless issues.
You are expected to travel between our offices from time to time.
Excellent organisation skills.
Ability to work within fast moving team.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
High level of attention to detail.
Collaborative working but prepared to make decisions.
