Apprenticeship Assistant Credit Manager

Reporting to the Group Credit Manager, you’ll work closely with him to assist in daily tasks aimed at minimizing the group’s credit risk exposure and optimizing accounts receivable management.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring the group’s daily credit risk exposure and proactively recommending necessary actions to mitigate the credit risk.
Your’ll collaborate with sales and finance teams as well as our shared services center based in Poland but also with the Customer Service team, both at headquarters and abroad.
Additionally, you’ll be involved in a group project to improve processes and reduce the working capital requirement (BFR).
Your key responsibilities will cover :
CREDIT MANAGEMENT
Analyzing the ageing balances and customer solvency, suggesting proactive actions to reduce the credit risk.
Monitoring Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and other key indicators (e.g., OVD rate, bad debts ).
Controlling credit limits based on customer needs and credit policy.
Analyzing and adjusting credit limit evolution when needed.
Managing blocked orders in accordance with internal policy.
Ensuring proper application of the group processes, especially regarding payment terms.
Supporting the sales teams of different geographical zones in payment term and collection security matters.
Analyzing the customer risk alerts and conducting surveillance for high-risk customers.
Managing credit insurance contracts as part of the factoring project.
WORKING CAPITAL OPTIMIZATION
Interacting with the Shared Services Center in Poland to monitor and improve the receivables payments.
Facilitating communication with customers and internal services to anticipate disputes.
Monitor collection forecasts and ensure that collections are recorded properly in the accounts
Defining payment terms and payment methods with the Credit Manager.
Monitoring the watch list and the bad debt customers.
Facilitating credit committees and bad debt committees with the Credit Manager.
Assisting the Credit Manager in implementing and managing the Factoring Project.
REPORTING and PROCESS
Contributing to the monthly DSO report.
Suggest improvements in processes, dashboards and KPI
Contribute to the Group project of improving the Order-to-Cash process
Our Requirements
Preparing a Master’s degree in finance or accounting
Fluency in both English & French
Good numeracy, analytical and finance skills
Proficiency in Pack Office and SAP
High customer focus, highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to form strong and effective relationships internally and externally
Responsive and good at managing priorities,
Hands-on approach with a can-do’ attitude and problem-solving ability.
